People > Pixels
Professionally, I’m a UX Designer & Researcher, and teacher currently based in St. Petersburg, FL. I’m passionate about using my background in neuroscience & cognitive psychology to bring a scientific methodology to UX design; creating experiences that resonate with the human mind.
Hi, I’m Brynnlee
As a neuroscience major, I bring a unique perspective to my UX career and any team I contribute to. My understanding of the human brain and its processes informs my approach to user research and design. By incorporating principles of cognitive psychology and human-computer interaction, I create user-centered designs that are intuitive, effective, and enjoyable.
Less Professionally, I’m a gamer at heart and love video games of all kinds. Video games & game design are my free time passion. As well, I enjoy traveling the world with my dog, being an amateur potter (I can make you a mug), and reading books of all genres - including better UX Design.
In an ever-transforming design world, I am constantly learning new things about UX design, data, and new tools to use. Reading is one of those ways I try to better my design understanding. Some of my favorite books are:
Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products Nir Eyal, 2013
The Design of Everyday Things Don Norman, 1988
AI and UX: Why Artificial Intelligence Needs User Experience Gavin lew, 2020
Just Enough Research Jeffrey Zeldman
The User Experience Team of One: A Research and Design Survival Guide Leah Buley
Research project aimed to understand the target customer segments in the digital commerce space for eShop's new customer acquisition objectives in 2022.
